Marie Jordan is professionally trained in Photography & Multi-Media with a degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Photojournalism and a Biology degree from Rosemont College in Philadelphia.  Her freelance work includes 'on set' still image photography for movies, TV actors and motivational speakers including Deepak Chopra and Tom Sullivan.  Her other work includes aquatic life, equine sports, nature, portraits, architecture and interior design as well as photojournalism.  
   I have been interested in photography since I could remember.  Playing with a brownie camera when I was a child only deepened my desire to learn as much as I could about photography.  Photographing and capturing the moment is my passion.   First working with film in the darkroom, then I saw the light and quickly moved into the amazing world of digital imaging.  I had the great opportunity to work with Kodak's first high end digital camera which intensified my aspiration even further. 

          Learning digital photography technology allowed the time to concentrate solely on photography, however I am a problem solver and love a creative solution.  Related work includes advanced digital imaging resulting in a patent granted for photographing and computer techniques.  Years of studying optics combined with a creative mind led to the design of the first frame on face software for the optical industry.  The software was sold to the third largest laser company in the world and now everyone can go on line and try on virtual eye glasses in the comfort of their own home.  Other imaging services I developed include a video production company specializing in surgical videos and medical photography.

          I am intrigued by the beauty of nature, knowing the complexity of biology photographing aquatic life and nature remain my primary interest.  As you can see from my portfolio these amazing creatures are spectacular.
          
          I feel my images allow others to step into a world of art, allowing one to see the beauty of life...
